California Healthy Kids Resource Center, administered for the California Department of Education, provides loans of reviewed health education materials for use in California school-based programs, with free delivery anywhere in California. Online catalog and ordering is available. Website also has school health laws, research summaries, and trainings.

Coalition for Community Schools FAQ

Coalition for Community Schools works toward improving education and helping students learn and grow while supporting and strengthening their families and communities. Community schools bring together many partners to offer a range of supports and opportunities to children, youth, families and communities -- before, during and after school, seven days a week.

California Immigrant Welfare Collaborative (CIWC) is a partnership of four agencies across the state that advocate for immigrants' rights. The CIWC partner agencies work in three program areas: policy analysis and advocacy; training and outreach to service providers; and education and outreach to immigrant communities.

The National Hispanic Alliance for Hispanic Health is one of the oldest and largest networks of health and human service providers servicing over 10 million Hispanic consumers throughout the U.S.

The MCH Program Interchange from the National Center for Education in Maternal and Child Health (NCEMCH) is a periodic publication designed to stimulate thinking and creatively within the Title V community by providing information about selected publications of current interest. These publications have been developed by or are available from federal agencies, state and local public health bureaus, and voluntary and professional organizations.

Harvard Family Research Project - "Issues and Opportunities in Out-of-School Time Evaluation" series.
The two briefs are:

  • "Documenting Progress and Demonstrating Results: Evaluating Local Out-of-School Time Programs" (brief number 3) - This brief provides practitioners of local OST programs with techniques, tools, and strategies for improving their programs and tracking their effectiveness over time.
  • "Beyond the Head Count: Evaluating Family Involvement in Out-of-School Time" (brief number 4) - This brief offers an overview of how OST programs can evaluate their family involvement strategies and practices.

Bay Area Coalition for Equitable Schools assists urban schools, school districts, and community groups in the work of creating or redesigning their schools.
